As developments in technology are evolving, it is playing a bigger part in our everyday lives.
In this FREE Digital Fabrication course, we can help you get up to speed and develop your skills so you are not being left behind! If you have an interest in technology, engineering or have an artistic flare for making, designing, crafting or creating, this is definitely a course for you!
What is Digital Fabrication?
Digital Fabrication is the process of using a computer controlled machine to cut or draw out a specific design.
What will you be doing on this project?
You will be following a tailor designed course teaching how you can use technology to make “almost anything”, learn how to create your own 2D computer designs incorporating new and existing ideas and give you practical opportunities to put theory into practice!
More about the programme!
This is a FREE short course, part funded by the European Social Fund 2014-2020, for anyone wishing to find out more about the world of fabrication, use of materials and to learn about how we can use technology to make almost anything.
Where possible FabLab will support you to design and make something relevant to an area of employment you may be considering or you may like to make something personal to you. At the end of the training, participants will get to make one or more items to take home with them to show off to family and friends or to give as a personalised gift to someone close – it’s completely up to you!
You can also gain a qualification, which we would encourage everyone to take advantage of. Participants will be able to use this qualification to strengthen their CV and general job prospects. Not got a current CV? Not to worry, we can also help to support you with this too!
