In this FREE painting and decorating course, we can help you learn and get hands at experience with something completely new!

What will you be doing on this course?

You will be taught and guided through the use of various tools of the trade; learning how to mask areas off during preparation stages and most importantly, give you a taste of action whilst painting and wallpapering your own designated booth.

This is a FREE short taste style course, designed with you in mind. Completed at your own pace, we will support you every step of the way!

You can also gain a qualification, which we would encourage everyone to take advantage of. Participants will be able to use this qualification to strengthen their CV and general job prospects.

Mustafa – 1st Painting & Decorating Pilot Course

How long is the course?

As everyone learns at different speeds, the course will be delivered at your pace over a minimum of 4 days at our Furniture Factory

Each day is normally 10am – 2pm with a short break for lunch.

Who is it aimed at?

Training will usually be delivered in groups of 6 participants.

Participants must be 16 years or over.

In reality, the FabLab training is also useful in everyday life within the home and day to day activities, this really is the fun side of learning whilst gaining qualification.

We encourage everyone to take advantage of this free course!

What Qualification will I gain from it?

You will gain a Level 1 Award in Painting and Decorating governed by Open College Network West Midlands.

Progression Route – Where to After This?

Following successful completion of this programme, you will have several options open to you:

You will gain a FabLab Coventry & Furniture Factory membership to encourage you to develop your skills further

Opportunities to go on to helping with community home make overs

Continue to study and take up a level 1 qualification in Digital Fabrication, carpentry or DIY.

Put skills into practice on donated furniture items, up-cycle these into something new and fab-ulous
