Fab Lab Coventry is a city centre resource, accessible to anyone. Coventry has a large industrial heritage; FabLab Coventry will build upon this heritage through advanced manufacturing to provide people of Coventry with the opportunity to turn ideas into reality.
Welcome to FabLab Coventry! What do you wanna make?
Coventry has a fantastic history of invention, design, and manufacturing going right back to medieval times.
We want to encourage all citizens in Coventry to become more technically skilled, but in an environment that is fun, well equipped, geared for self-paced learning, and open to everyone, regardless of income or educational background.
FabLab Coventry is a not-for-profit partnership between Coventry University, Coventry City Council, the University of Warwick, and numerous other partners from both the private and charity sectors.
FabLab Coventry is financed through a combination of donations, membership fees, grant funding, volunteering, and a modest income from fees for materials and machine use. However, we have a “sweat equity” policy that means that volunteering counts towards the use of machines and membership fees. (More information can be found via our Volunteering Page)
We officially opened our doors to the public on 6th July 2016. We will be running various workshops and classes as well as being open for general use day to day. Please check out our opening times and keep checking our training and events page to find out what is happening.
